You'd get +5 bonus points if you were ghosting and/or lobby conning.
I'd give it a perfect 5/7.
Oh, sure, use 3rd edition rating scales. That's the worst edition.

I was thinking of ending it all and hanging myself, but not by my lanyard....

I am a programmer and I can tell you that Gen Con programs out the distribution of these lanyards in a way that hasn't been done since the mid-90s.  There are much easier and better ways to do this now and I can ensure everyone will be happy with the results.  Should only take 5 minutes and no cost to them.  Gen Con should reach out to me at (555) 776-4726 (PRO-GRAM) and I can solve all their problems for them.

Gotta love the (555) area code. Though now that I think about it, I think fictional numbers are supposed to be real area code, followed by 555-####. But yeah..

D'oh!!!!  You are right.  Just like they say in The Last Action hero.....if everyone has a 555 number there aren't enough numbers......that's why we have area codes.

It seems rather surprising that the Gen Con store or Off World Designs are not selling deluxe Gen Con 50th anniversary lanyards. Seems like they missing out on a sure money maker.

Silly Alec. That's a wallet, not a lanyard. Why, there's hardly even a licensed image on the part that hangs about the neck.

This thing is awesome, by the way.  Badge, tickets, some cash and a credit card can all go inside one convenient pouch.

The wallet and lanyard are different items. The wallet is fine for putting in lots of items however the weight pulling on your neck with the string can be uncomfortable. A lanyard is much more comfortable which is probably why the wallet was redesigned to be clipped to a lanyard.
Other conventions have deluxe lanyards for sale, it seems strange that Gen Con is not taking advantage of the revenue opportunity. From my perspective deluxe lanyards would sell better than other items currently offered for sale.

I have the wallet-like badge holder which means my poor lanyard is going to languish, unused, much like some outlying hotels in Timbucktoo...

Muahahahaha

IF you have the 50 badge holder, you can easily switch out the string for the lanyard.  The 50 badge holder comes with a short loop, remove the string and connect the lanyard to the loop.  I use a D clip from the loop to the lanyard.

Come on guys,

If the snark doesn't return to this thread I'll have to do something drastic!

Good luck!  The VIG will have bought all the really good ones by the time they let the hoi polloi into the dealer hall.  But, it is definitely worth $600 for lanyard first dibs...

Will I be allowed in the exhibit hall if I use last years lanyard? If not would it be ok to roam the hamster tubes with it?  It's not for me.  I'm asking for a friend.

Is there a wait-list for lanyards? I mean, if someone doesn't pick up their lanyard, I should get one, right? It's not my fault I waited this long, there has never been a lanyard problem EVER before.

Did you want an in-block connected lanyard, in-block non-connected lanyard, or an out-of-block lanyard?

I heard they released more lanyards, but I got screwed because I tried to use the wishlist just like prereg, so I didn't get one of the new lanyards, either.
