I don't see what all the fuss is about.  I got my lanyard just fine.  In fact, I think it worked better than last year.  Sure, I would have preferred a green one instead of the blue one I got, but hey, there's 70,000+ people, they can't all get their favorite color!

There was NO warning that lanyards might run out. I was planning on bringing seven people to Gen Con this year and they ALL expected to have lanyards.

Guess this is the first year I'm not going to Gen Con.

I was hoping to push my lanyard around the dealer hall in a stroller after stopping by the Embassy Suites for breakfast, but I guess that just isn't going to happen now...

and sit and sulk in my airport hotel without my lanyard because I couldn't get the downtown hotel room I have AWAYS got and deserve because I have been to x amount of Gen Cons. I'm taking my ball and I'm going home...

Will they be checking lanyards for badges? With all the problems this year, ghosting lanyards without badges could be a real problem. ;D

But...swag bags.  We should have swag bags instead of silly lanyards.  In years past we got the best stuff and now because of all the cosplayers we can't have swag and lanyards!
