1. Gen Con still limits reimbursement for independent GMs to reservations made through the housing block. Yesterday that block sold out in under 3 hours, meaning GMs are at the mercy of a lottery system. I was one of the lucky ones, but why should another GM who runs the same required player hours that I do be further punished because they got a bad time slot? It’s a double whammy because their out of block reservation will almost certainly cost more and they won’t even get any reimbursement. 

2. That reimbursement — $50 or 25% a night, whichever is less, up to 4 nights — hasn’t gone up in over a decade. At this point none of the downtown hotels in the block are anywhere near under $200 a night. How about a modest bump to $60 a night?
