(Apologies if this has been answered already, but I haven't been able to find it.)
How are GMs supposed to check in ticket holders this year? I read the FAQ on e-tickets, but it all seems to center around organizers scanning badges with a smart phone, which seems in-person-centric. Are there going to be virtual badges to scan? Will we get a list of ticket holders to check against? Do we just take the players' word for it?
Thanks!
You'll want to check the Events - How To for GMs page, as it talks through the process.
Basically, 30 minutes before the event a "Turn tickets in to event host" button will appear on the event details page. Your attendees just need to click on that to turn in their ticket.
The GM can see the status of each player on the ticket page, so you can see how has turned in their ticket or not.
So my recommendation is to start your event off with a reminder to everyone to turn their tickets in, get everyone connected, and then confirm who has turned in their tickets.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
