My events have been Accepted for Consideration and it says they don't have a location yet, nor are they listed for anyone to see; but both have locations listed under them in my dashboard.  Are those just placeholders, or are they the pending locations should the events be Accepted?

Sometimes when doing event placement, we'll assign a location before we've fully reviewed the event. Different steps are handled as we have time, particularly for late events, so sometimes they happen a bit out of order.

They'll get updates as soon as we have a chance to do so.
