I think I just got a happy surprise, with the complimentary GM rooms (for sufficient hours), I thought I had to pay for and then get reimbursed for the room, however it looks like if we got a confirmation back with the payment status of "Other" that this room is pre-paid and that I don't have to use a card except for other expenses?  

Any veterans of the process or team members able to confirm my understanding here?

The confirmation can be a bit odd, so the best thing to do is to email gchousing@q-rooms.com and events@gencon.com to verify.

Every year i've got a comp'ed room, due to gming enough slots, i still have to provide the hotel with a CC number for incidental expenses..  Luckily none of my roomies (since i've usually shared with 2, to 3 others) have racked up any bills..  That they didn't take care of themselves..
