As the title says, Looking to Trade for any closer room. HAVE: (4 nights Wed-Sat) Sheraton Indianapolis City Center DBL/DBL; 4 Blocks from the Convention Ctr. WANT: Any Connected Room for at least nights of Thurs, Fri & Sat. Might be a win/win for a group that needs the two beds. My wife and I only need one...
Bump. Want any connected room for my wife and I...
The room we're trying to trade is right next door to the Conrad which is connected to the Skywalk (at least according to the map I found). If someone needs the 2 beds & wants to trade a downtown room with only one (in a similar price range of $220 per night), hit me up. And good luck! http://cdn.visitindy.com/map/DTSkywalkMap_c010413.pdf
We have a king size down town bed. Not connected down town but a few blocks away. It's for all 4 nights. Thursday to checkout Sunday. I think all four nights with tax is 936.
Jesse973, which hotel is your King room in? The room I currently have is not connected either; it's @ the Sheraton but is 4 short blocks away AND is right next to a hotel that's connected via the Skywalk (see the map linked above).
Hilton Garden Inn down town. We have it for August 3rd to the August 7, a total of 4 nights. With tax the reservation is 936. I think when we mapped it out it was 3 blocks away I think. We don't mind a little walking. We just wanted to be closer than 10 miles away when everyone has different event times.
Google maps says .6 mile walk.
10 East Market Street. Indianapolis, IN 46204.
I double checked. It's 200 a night with 136 for tax. So the guess of 936 total was correct.
Just looked at the map. The Hilton Garden Inn is to the right of the Sheraton. What is the price per night for the Double Double there?
Our hotel is basically right next door to yours (just west on the map). It says yours is 5 blocks, ours is 4 according to the map. Room is $218 per night (4 nights Wed-Sat; Sunday check-out). 872.00 for the 4 nights plus taxes & fees for a total of $1,020.24.
Well I understand if you are trying to get closer and save a little cash. I know our reservation isn't closer, but saves you a little money if interested, and helps out some other people of need of more bedding. Either way let me know what you think. Good day. I can only imagine that the hotels that are touching the convention center have to be even more expensive.
I might be down for trading; the $20 a night difference is no biggie either way... nor is the little bit of extra distance. I'll let you know tomorrow.
Just checking in again to see if you were up for trading or holding out for something closer?
My wife wants to stay as close as we can AND she also wants to enjoy the outdoor pool at the Sheraton (unless we find one closer). Sorry.
Jesse973, just released this room as I was able to get a connected one a block away at the JW Mariot. Hope you can jump onto the Housing portal and grab this one up before it's gone. Best of luck!!
Done. ADMIN< please delete this post; I would if I could...
Congrats on the JW! How did you get it Aerhlon? Was it a trade?
No, actually. I just kept a housing window open whenever I was websurfing, shopping on Ebay, etc & would check back periodically by either refreshing or logging back in when it timed out. It ended up showing as available a week ago (I had been lurking for a few weeks) so I jumped on it & got it before anyone else did. Funny thing; the Sheraton room I released got grabbed up within 6-8 minutes... meaning others are doing the same thing. I hear that more rooms open up the closer to the Con so don't give up. You also still might be able to broker a trade. Best of luck, Katyspray!
