Interesting. I'm curious how many of those people who booked out of block were downtown rooms. If that number is increasing each year, there is less incentive for each hotel to give up more rooms to the housing block.

Votes are still coming in, but with 450 responses so far, here’s the results.

56% Got a room and are not complaining.
15% Got a room but are not happy with it.
13% Didn’t get a room.
16% Don’t need a room (commuter).

I don't know how many rooms are downtown versus elsewhere; but, excluding commuters, the percentage of those booking rooms outside of the con's housing block is 35% this year. In last year's poll, it was 30%.
