In all my years of attending, there has always been 4 or less of us going together. This year there is the potential to have a 5th person. Has anyone put 5 in a single room before? Is that an acceptable limit to the hotel or do you have to hide the 5th person? I just want to be sure I can go and enjoy my con and not be constantly worried the hotel will discover we have 5 people and it cause an issue. Thank you for any information or advice!
Get a room that sleeps 5. If you plan on hiding extra people, please don't. There are room capacity limits for a reason.
What types of rooms sleep 5?
A suite with two double or queen beds would sleep 5 easily with no one on the floor (if you don't mind sharing beds), since the living room area of the suites normally has a sofa bed.
"5 People in a Room" often explores dynamics, interactions, and the diverse perspectives individuals bring to a shared space. winpkrapk.com .Thanks for your information.
You are worried about 5 in a room? It was either 2006 or 2007 when a bunch of my Old Guard crew stuck 16 guys in a 2 Queen room. Yes you read that right.
For the record I was not a part of that debauchery.
Years ago my Con Crew and I would jam 7-9 people into a room. The hotel never knew as we listed 4 to the room and never allowed a cleaning crew into the room.
No cleaning crew? I shudder to think what that bathroom must have smelled like by the end of the con....
This Gen Con forum thread is about finding housing, which can be tricky for large groups. I hope the advice provided is helpful and not just a parodybox of unworkable suggestions. For many attendees, Gen Con serves as an annual escape road into the world of gaming. Just be sure the accommodation arrangements do not get pyramixed! It's hard to see how something like sprunki could apply here.
