Blood Drive 2022

Want the Best Seat in the House? — Donate Blood!

Our annual blood drive is back! We’ve once again teamed up with Versiti Blood Center of Indiana and the Heinlein Society to pay it forward for local patients.

Neighbors need neighbors. Because one donation of blood can potentially save up to three lives — and because blood and platelets cannot be manufactured — there is no substitute for volunteer donors like you.

Plus, every attendee who donates blood is entered into a drawing for a Gen Con 2022 promo pass, redeemable for a 4-Day badge to next year's show. Save a life and win a badge? There's no better deal at Gen Con.

NEW this year, the Blood Drive is moving out of the Bloodmobile and into a more spacious location, in the Stadium at the North Plaza. This should solve any problems we've had with waiting for your turn to give blood in the past, so if you've had to drop out of giving blood before because of the wait, that shouldn't be a problem this year!

And some of the donation chairs will be directly facing the Stadium floor, so you'll get an outstanding view of gaming while saving a life. We also have more secluded chairs too, if that's more your style.

Blood DRIVE Schedule

Thursday, August 4 Stadium: North Plaza 10 am – 4 pm Sign-Up Link
Friday, August 5 Stadium: North Plaza 10 am – 4 pm Sign-Up Link
Saturday, August 6 Stadium: North Plaza 10 am – 4 pm Sign-Up Link

Walk-ins welcome! Sign up on site at the Blood Drive hallway table located in the Crossroads Concourse. Having a light snack before donating is recommended. Most people are eligible to donate, but there are a few causes for deferral and small number of medications that are not acceptable.

Not sure if you're eligible to donate? Email [email protected].

You never know when you or someone you love could need a life-saving blood transfusion, so build up some good karma by donating blood during the convention this year.

Donating blood takes less than an hour, so you'll be back gaming in no time, with the knowledge that you've done your part to help save a life.
