I-69/I-465 Interchange on south side of Indy - congestion, down to 2 lanes
Posted by aldctjoc

For drivers coming up from the south on I-69, be advised: Within a mile of the I-465 exits, I-69/Harding Street narrows down to 2 lanes, and gets congested easily in that area. On Google Maps, look for Epler Ave, and that's roughly where it all starts.

Furthermore: There are electronic signs saying that the I-465 East exit will be closed. It was open today, but I don't know if it'll close later. I think that's a leftover from last week's closure, but I don't actually know. Anyway, be advised: If the I-465 East exit off of I-69/Harding St. is closed, don't sweat it. Just keep going straight past the factories and look for the I-70 exit. It'll be on the left, not right side of the road, so be aware of that, but you'll come across it.

Ignoring I-69/Harding Street is only two lanes for a mile near the I-465 East exit and dead zed can create congestion, especially during rush hour. This is common on high traffic routes.
