Does Registration Recognize Duplicate Events
Posted by binary

This question is about the behavior of the event system when you submit your wishlist for processing.

I know that the event system will not give you two event tickets in the same time slot. So if you have asked for EVENT-A at noon and it puts a ticket in your cart, then if you have also asked (at a lower priority) for EVENT-B at noon, it will ignore that second request due to the time conflict.

But if I have asked for EVENT-A at noon, and it puts a ticket in my cart, and I have also asked for (at a lower priority) EVENT-A at 5pm, will the system ignore that second request because it is a duplicate of the same event?

Or does it not recognize that as a factor?

In this scenario the system will not ignore the second event as it is at a different time.
If I'm reading this correctly. It does not matter that it is the same event.

While I understand how this could be an issue for yourself and some other people. I know individuals who will run true dungeon events upwards or 20+ times over the con and never step foot into the dealer hall.

I've run the same event several times over the con in the past. The only event I am aware of where they restricted tickets to once per con was with Lorcana last year.

It doesn't automatically buy the tickets for you though when your wishlist is processed.  It'll put them in your cart, and you can drop them from there before you pay.  Just make sure put all the duplicates at the end of your wishlist so they don't accidentally block anything else you wanted more.

Note, we fully direct the site to be hammered tomorrow by the crush of everyone on the site.

It may take a while to navigate and yes, that will be frustrating.

Deep breaths, best plan is to get in and out and deal with the system when it isn't so crowded.
