I believe that Gate Ten runs the lots around the convention center, and you can buy a parking pass through Gen Con.

Rumors on Reddit and Facebook that Gate 10 as sold and they are not honoring the McCarthy st parking lots. Parking is now west of the Zoo.

Once again rumors

Got an email from a Ray Flack about 4 hours ago, informing me that the McCarthy Street parking lots will not be functional based on construction and they are moving to 201 S. Harding (near the zoo, I take it).  There will be a shuttle.   And he mentions that they are no longer the manager of the lot near the stadium as of last week.   Disappointing.

Interesting that it is a Gate 10 lot.  I am still waiting to hear back from the question I asked Ray about a lot on church street

The old Gate 10 lot on McCarthy Street is not under gate 10 management anymore. I was there this morning. IPark was selling spots at that lot. It was like 80$ for 4 days but the people manning the lot were not sure if there were going to be shuttles provided.

Hey All also try "Chance events Parking" 114 McCarty St  I've heard very good things about them. For some reason they do not come up on Parking Whiz App. May the Dice be with you on parking all!  see ya there!

Sounds like the 101 S. Alabama parking lot. Google tells us that its owner (at least I think it's the owner's site) calls it the "LaRosa Ramp Lot".
Google maps puts that at 7/10ths of a mile east.
I don' t know if it's intended to service the heliport right next door to the east, or be overflow parking for Gainbridge Fieldhouse (the NBA stadium), but it seems to be a nice find. And you're right, it's not too bad a walk.

Edit: A long time ago, I used to use either the "Merchant's Garage" on 31 S. Meridian, or the Circle Center Mall underground parking, where you enter on W. Washington. Those always seemed to have room, although the latter was a rather low-ceiling, tight fit.
Now, well before COVID when we'd drive in from remote hotels we'd use the World of Wonders Garage right across from St. Elmo and Le Meriden.  We'd have to get in early, but "early" to be as late as 9am, although we were parking waaaay near the top and it was crowded. But we'd get a spot. Admittedly that was quite a while ago, and I'd bet it fills faster nowadays. But still... that's real close and connected, so at least checking it can be worthwhile. Block Blast
I think so.
