Are there any statistics available on the home state of attendees? I would imagine Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois would be the lion's share. Perhaps Michigan as well? I know that folks come from all over, but do you have a breakdown anywhere?

I do not believe we've published anything like that, though there may be some details in the exhibitor or marketing packet.

That would certainly be interesting information to cite in all those "MOVE GEN-CON IMMEDIATELY" arguments, haha. But then again, just having that information probably gives them all they need to know on the feasibility of moving the show.

I'm a cartographer! If you'd like some fun infographic type maps about the demographic/state breakdown, feel free to message me! I'd love to make some "fun" maps for you all!

My group of 3 is in Michigan. It's about a 4 hour drive for us. through the beautiful country side of MI, OH, & IN. I remember driving to our 1st Gen Con last year & when we got to Fort Wayne & saw the sign "Indianapolis" we all got those butterflies of excitement. LOL.

Maryland for the 2 of us.
We'll drive out since we are in the outer rim hotels and need to drive while there to attend...

Ohio for me!

We're driving in from Maryland as well.

Two from Michigan here...about a 4 1/2-hour drive for us from West Michigan.

Completely anecdotal, but I'm from Ohio and have met a surprising number of fellow buckeyes.
I suppose wandering around the Gate 10 lots and checking out license plates would also provide some information.

The 4 of us are from Sparks MD. 25 min north of Baltimore.

Maybe us ohionans can do a get together at origins!

Count me in on it. Both the get together and on the list of those from the Buckeye State.

If you play Starwars D6, i will be spending most of my Origins time with the Sparks force 7 RPG group..

From Michigan myself. I've met surprisingly few Indy locals, but there are so many people that it's probably just random chance. It makes sense that a larger proportion of attendees come from the states surrounding IN because of ease of travel and larger cities (Chicago, Louisville, Cincinnati/Columbus, etc.), but last year I met someone who came from the Netherlands.

Michigan here! But we meet up with folks from other states.

Massachusetts, reporting in!

Five of us from New York; Buffalo to be specific.

I had been coming in from Michigan for the last 7 years, but now I'm in CA.
