Do GMs need to have a Virtual Gen Con badge if not playing games?

I realized the badges support charity, but does a GM need to buy a badge?

The badge is free, it's the base price that supports charity.

If you're engaging in pretty much any aspect of Gen Con Online, you should pick up a free badge - there's really no reason not to.
