The short answer is that Gen Con is not cancelled yet, and the plan is that it will go ahead as planned. As Mike says at the beginning of the thread mentioned above:
"At this time, we do not anticipate a cancellation or alteration of our plans for Gen Con 2020. Should our plans change based on recommendations from the CDC or the State of Indiana, we will promptly inform our attendees. "
This has not changed since he posted it a month ago.
If you wish to discuss Covid-19 and Gen Con, that thread is the place to do it. If you wish to discuss Covid-19 and anything else, then the internet is the place to go.
