Here's the part that's potentially relevant to Gen Con goers:
Segment 3: I-69 N/S from I-465 to S.R. 37
- Middle of June to End of July
- Work will be completed on nights and weekends
- 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning
- One lane will always be open in each direction
Segment 4: I-465 E/W from I-69 to I-70
- Beginning of August through October
- Work will be completed on nights and weekends
- 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning
- One lane will always be open in each direction
I don't know if this is all of it, but it's something that'll happen on the main (well, the only) ring highway of Indianapolis during the con. Since it might affect traffic, and therefore people with hotels outside of downtown, it's worth mentioning.
Ps. There's also a nifty site called "Your 511 (Truckers' Info)" - http://intr.carsprogram.org. The cool thing about this site for con-goers is that it reports all sorts of near-realtime traffic issues on the big highways, including road construction and accidents. Doesn't seem to report jack for city streets, though. Best thing about it: It's a map, not a list of streets you wouldn't recognize. That can help people plan routes without having to plan really far in advance.
Hope this helps. I ought to remember to bump this prior to the con.
