A planned 38-story hotel at Pan Am Plaza in downtown Indianapolis will be part of Hilton Hotel's new Signia group.

It is a given a hotel next to the convention center is going to be expensive, but this one may be extra pricey.

In terms of how this relates to other Hilton brands, Marr told us that it sits right above the Hilton flagship brand and below the luxury Conrad brand. Signia will have a bigger room and bigger bathroom than a Hilton but will stop short of the level of luxury that Conrad and Waldorf Astoria locations offer.“This is an expensive hotel brand to build and don’t expect to see hundreds of Signia hotels,” said Marr

Not necessarily. Least not up front. I would expect it to be more like JW Marriott was. Looked reasonable when it first opened. But they charged you for anything and everything they could. And it added up fast. Look for the same. Somewhat higher but still reasonably priced rooms. Wallet breaker parking fees. $20/day internet charges. High priced in room meals. And making the mistake of drinking that in room bottled water will likely set you back your first born.

Kind of a bit early to start wondering & debating about a hotel that won't be open for at least 3 years.
