battle mats, getting rid of dry erase marks?

I made a booboo today and didn't realize a battle mat i bought at orgins was a wet erase only and started a light drawing of a ghoul cave by a riverside, in a dry erase marker.  SOME of it i was able to get off, but a lot of it's still there..

Anyone know of a good way to erase it, when the mat's made specifically for wet erase markers?

Usually going over it with the correct marker type should fix it, at least it does for dry erase, can't say for sure for wet erase.

Well, over on the Dragonsfoot site, someone suggested i use WD40 and that did the trick..
