I actually wish I'd used my paid time off for the eclipse rather than the convention.  Could have found a spot in Kentucky just about 150 miles away to get into the totality zone.

Go to Carbondale, IL or Paducah, KY in 2004... you WILL want to have totality... :)

I can't.  My time machine broke.

Oops, sorry, typo city - how about 2024? :)

Well, Carbondale and Paducah will be hit again.  But, in 2024, the eclipse follows a different path, of course.  You don't have to go to these smaller towns.  In fact, there will be totality in Indianapolis.  Too bad it is in April and not August that year.  Cleveland, Dallas, Austin, Buffalo, and more will be options that year, too.

I'll stay in this small town :)

Why couldn't the 2017 one be in Indianapolis?  Boo hoo.  I'll have moved away from here by 2024.  I'm thinking I'll probably go somewhere in upstate New York.

Well, you might be good, then.   2024 path of totality goes through northern half of New York state, including Syracuse, Rochester & Buffalo.
