Been gone a while. What’s new in Indy?

I haven’t been able to attend since 2020. I know that a lot has changed since then.  I was hoping that I might get the lay of the land.

I know that The Ram and Scotty’s have both closed.  Other than Steak and Shake, St. Elmo’s, the food trucks, and the Japanese restaurant whose name escapes me…. I am unfamiliar with the options that are available.

Last year, I tried Shapiros Deli and Iozzos Garden of Italy and liked both.  They aren't new but were new to me.  Both are a short walk SE of Lucas Stadium.  There is no shortage of good restaurants if you are willing to walk a few blocks.

If the Japanese restaurant you are referring to is the one right on Georgia Street (where the food trucks used to be) I have some bad news for you ... unless you like Mexican food, in which case, you're in luck ... it's Social Cantina now.

Surprised you're not tracking Kilroy's. Just go and crush appetizers and have a few drinks. Place is great. Brother's, a few doors down (possibly closer?) is also pretty good, but it's general bar food.

I probably shouldn't drive more traffic there, but Yard House is great, especially if you like beer.

I like Social Cantina. The last couple years, they have been welcoming to us attendees. They have genre shows on their TVs and some of the staff dress up. It’s not quite what The RAM or Scotty’s did, but it’s nice.

Brothers has a special convention menu and it’s not usually too crowded.
