Rio Grande Games Returns as Gen Con 2018 Co-Sponsor

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SEATTLE (November 21, 2017) Gen Con, the longest-running gaming convention in North America, has reached an agreement with Rio Grande Games to return as a Co-Sponsor for Gen Con 2018. As a Co-Sponsor, they will have a dedicated game space inside the Indiana Convention Center. Game publisher Rio Grande Games first participated as a Co-Sponsor, Gen Con’s highest level of sponsorship, at the 2016 convention.

“The team at Rio Grande Games is excited to return to Gen Con again in 2018,” said Jay Tummelson, CEO of Rio Grande Games. “We look forward to continuing to partner with Gen Con to make an unforgettable experience for attendees. As in the past, we will provide a private room for players to learn about new games and play their old favorites as well. No tickets needed, just show your badge at the door and come in to play!”

In addition to offering a dedicated gaming area, Gen Con will provide the publisher pre-show promotion, on-site graphics, and added marketing opportunities.

“Partnering with Rio Grande Games is always such a delight,” said Megan Culver, Senior Director, Sponsorship & Sales. “Their commitment to providing a world-class family entertainment experience is made clear through their extensive catalog of games, commitment to customer service, and continued involvement in the gaming community. Gen Con 2018 will be an Epic Level Event, and Rio Grande Games’ presence will help make it an unforgettable experience.”

Gen Con returns to Indianapolis on August 2-5, 2018. In 2017, the convention sold out of attendee badges for the first time in the show’s 50-year history.
