Gen Con Announces Featured Artists for 2018

Alayna Danner, Scott Murphy, and Mark Poole to Highlight Art Show

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

INDIANAPOLIS (March 23, 2018) Gen Con, the largest and longest running gaming and hobby convention in North America, has chosen three artists to feature at its annual Art Show during Gen Con 2018. In prior years, Gen Con selected a single artist to feature, however the organization has chosen to include more artists to highlight the best of the fantasy, sci-fi, comics, horror, and gaming illustration industries. The Art Show showcases more than 80 artists, and Featured Artists will have a dedicated section within the Art Show in which to showcase their best works.

“We are excited to have three Featured Artists at Gen Con’s 2018 Art Show,” said Barbara Fisher, Art Show manager. “The quality of their work, number of years in the Art Show, and ongoing contributions to the gaming industry exemplify what the Art Show is about and how it has grown over the years.”

Attendees interested in viewing the works can find the Art Show located in the Exhibit Hall on all four days of the convention.

Gen Con 2018 will return to the Indiana Convention Center Thursday, August 2 through Sunday, August 5 in Indianapolis. Last year marked an historic milestone when the convention celebrated it’s 50th show, setting record attendance numbers, and selling out for the first time in its history. Gen Con expects to sell out of attendee badges prior to the convention this year as well.
