Kickoff the best four days in gaming on Thursday at 9 am in the Indiana Convention Center (ICC) : 500 Ballroom with Gen Con staff and special guest hosts as they share highlights for the weekend to come! Giveaways, publisher reveals, and a Magic Sword concert. Don't miss it!

The BIPOC Social Mixer is back for 2023! Join us for drinks, snacks, games, and the opportunity to connect with fellow Gen Con POC attendees and industry folks, right in the BIPOC Lounge! Attendants will also have the chance to win awesome door prizes, so don’t miss it! (Must be present to win and receive prizes.) Join us on Thursday from 6:30-9:30 pm in the Indiana Convention Center (ICC) : Room 240. Hosted by Aaron Trammell & Mandi Hutchinson.



Gen Con Film Festival Awards Ceremony

Find out which of our amazing filmmakers will take home the coveted Gen Con Film Festival Awards during this in-person ceremony on Thursday at 7 pm in the Westin : Capitol III. Categories include Best Feature Film, Best Web Series, Best Short Film, to name a few.

Magic Sword Live Concert

The MAGIC SWORD calls unto you. Will you be the chosen one? Come dressed for fantasy to this live concert of epic proportions! Friday at 10 pm in the 500 Ballroom of the Indiana Convention Center (ICC).

Join us on Friday from 6-8 pm in the Indiana Convention Center (ICC) : 144-145 for an opportunity for BIPOC individuals to connect with gaming industry professionals in an informal setting to discuss opportunities to support your career and interests.

Block Party

Block Party On South Street

The Block Party you know and love has moved to a new location on South Street! Open Wednesday through Sunday, the Block Party is the place to be for music, food, drinks, and more!

Dance the night away on Saturday at 9 pm for the last night of Gen Con! A great mix of nerd classics and the latest pop hits, cash bars too! Join us at the Union Station : Grand Hall.

Collective Art Project

Collective Art Project

Express your inner artist by participating in the creation of a large-scale living fantasy painting! Join artist Kathleen Hardy, who has created this one-of-a- kind art piece, by painting the canvas.

The Collective Art Project is located in the Capital Concourse of the convention center.

Thursday – Saturday: noon – 7 pm; Sunday: 11 am – 2 pm

Room 240 : Indiana Convention Center (ICC)

For a second year Gen Con, in partnership with Rose Gauntlet Entertainment, will be providing a dedicated space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) attendees to connect, relax, network, and utilize for career focused endeavors. With the intention to build, assist, and provide resources for the growth of the community, we encourage BIPOC attendees to visit the space.

Attendees will find games and artwork created by BIPOC designers, a games library, scheduled events, refreshments, and a space to connect with fellow members of the community.

Professionals will be able to utilize the room to meet with other industry professionals, obtain resources from companies seeking to work with and mentor BIPOC creators, sign up for one-on-one meetings, and recharge from working the show.

Georgia Street Entrance : Indiana Convention Center (ICC)

Attendees helped build a giant card edifice. Then on Saturday at 10 pm, it all comes crashing down! Bring your spare change to pelt the structures into oblivion and bring folding money to bid for the right to the first coin toss. All proceeds benefit Gen Con's Charity Partners.



Community Row

Representatives from a variety of local community organizations, charities, conventions, and gaming groups are present to help you discover new gamer-friendly activities and promote awareness about all the awesome things they do outside of the four days of Gen Con! Tables are staffed during exhibit hall hours and attendees are welcome to stop by to learn more about all local gaming, volunteering, civic, and educational opportunities available year-round.

Located in the Sagamore Concourse on the 2nd floor of the Indiana Convention Center.

Towards A More Diverse & Inclusive Gen Con

Join Gen Con Staff & DEI Advisory Committee members on Sunday at 11 am in the Westin : Grand Ballroom I-II, as we talk about the changes we’ve made, our goals for improvement, our mission and values in creating a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable Gen Con. A continuation of previous year's panels, this moderated discussion includes a 2023 update to the community on the work Gen Con has undertaken and ways in which you can become involved.

Thursday – Saturday, 10 am – 6 pm; Sunday 10 am – 3 pm

Need to de-stress, de-compress, and re-group? Our Quiet Room, located in the Indiana Convention Center (ICC) : Room 211, is just the place. A low light, self-monitoring space where you can get away from the high stimulation of the convention.
