SPA - Supplemental Activities

This group of supplemental, non-gaming events has something for everyone, gamers and nongamers alike, at all skill levels. This category is specifically curated to provide a diverse variety of interesting events, intended to appeal to all attendees.

Almost all events in the SPA category can be roughly divided into three kinds of events: crafts, active, and tours.

The majority of events in this category can be classified as "crafty" activities. Typical craft events include knitting, crochet, jewelry making, sewing, and a variety of different crafting classes, often with a geeky theme. All supplies and tools required to participate in the workshops are provided, unless clearly noted, so all you need to bring is yourself, and you'll usually leave with a finished item. Most events are suitable for beginners; check the event listing to determine the level of experience required.

Active events include fitness classes, such as pilates and Zumba, as well as more relaxing classes such as tai chi and yoga. Level up your rogue skills in a variety of sword, martial art, and hand to hand fighting classes. Some of the most popular classes are the many dancing classes, which teach a variety of styles, including both contemporary and ballroom styles.

Tour events typically include several downtown waking tours; downtown Indianapolis has many interesting and noteworthy historical buildings and monuments. Haunted walking tours are also a popular offering. This category may also include shuttle bus tours to other locations in the Indianapolis area, including tours of local craft beer breweries.

There's something for everyone in this program, gamer or not.
