Charity

Gen Con isn't all about gaming, it's also about giving! Gamers giving back to the community is a key part of every "The Best Four Days in Gaming!"

Each year, Gen Con chooses a charity partner. During the convention, several events are hosted in which the proceeds are donated to the charity. Gen Con 50 (2017) raised more than $45,000 for its charity partner Child Advocates! Over the past 12 years, Gen Con has raised over $230,000 for charity to date.

Gen Con along with Event Organizers and sponsors host events during the show which raise funds for the selected charity. Some of those events include ...

  • Balloon Sculpture "Slay the Creature"
  • Cardhalla
  • Charity Auction

More information about these specific events will be available as we get closer to the show and this list will grow as more companies and event hosts participate in Gen Con 2018.

Gen Con will announce the official charity partner for Gen Con 2018 in the coming months.
